Peter O’Neill, FICB, AMP - Chief Operating Officer

Joining Bridgewater in 2004, Peter was part of the instrumental team that succeeded in obtaining the bank's Schedule 1 charter. With over three decades of banking experience, Peter previously held senior roles with Royal Bank and ATB Financial. Peter is a passionate leader with a demonstrated ability to share a compelling vision for change and empower associates to achieve both corporate and personal goals.

Peter holds a Professional Bankers Designation and is a Fellow (honors) of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Active in the local business community, Peter’s involvement includes the Calgary Region Home Builders Association,Calgary Mortgage & Loans Association and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.He is a board member for the Alberta New Home Warranty Program.

A father of four and grandfather of two, Peter balances his business pursuits with a passion for an active lifestyle including boating, fishing, horseback riding, golf and Karate. He holds a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and has been active as a competitor, instructor, team coach and Class A provincial referee.

Gord Follett, CA - Vice President, Finance

Gord has more than 25 years of corporate experience in public accounting, financial reporting, investor relations, marketing, cost management and business development. An innovative leader and decision maker, Gord gained extensive experience in previous public accounting roles with Nortel Networks and Shaw. As Assistant Vice President Finance and Business Strategy, Gord oversees business planning, new business initiatives, financial governance, investor relations, regulatory reporting and treasury operations.

Gord holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and obtained his CA designation from the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. Gord is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is committed to ongoing professional development pursuits. Gord is a passionate tri-athlete, having twice completed the Subaru Iron Man in Penticton, BC.

Todd Poberznick, AMP - Assistant Vice President, B2B Solutions

With over 25 years in the banking and brokerage industry, Todd brings extensive management and product knowledge experience to the Bridgewater team. Previous roles include responsibility for product development, broker relations, marketing, industry training, and sales in both the U.S. and Canadian mortgage-financing markets.

Todd is an Accredited Mortgage Professional and member of CAAMP, BCMBA and AMBA. Eager to share his industry knowledge and experience, Todd has led courses in mortgage finance at Mount Royal College and the Calgary Real Estate Board as a licensed instructor for the Alberta Real Estate Association. An avid outdoorsman, he actively pursues his love of fishing, baseball, golf and camping.

Dave Terletski, AMP - Director, Risk Management

With a banking career spanning over 30 years, Dave previously held management roles with Royal Bank, ATB Financial, and the Bank of Nova Scotia. At Bridgewater, Dave is responsible for the bank’s organizational Risk Management and oversight of the overall credit portfolio. His prior roles provide him with industry expertise in risk management, registered products, retirement income services, investments, pensions, group RRSPs and credit adjudication.

Dave is an Accredited Mortgage Professional with the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals and has completed several professional development programs through the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Within his community, Dave is an auxiliary constable with the RCMP, Okotoks division and has been involved with Scouts Canada for 14 years. Dave enjoys fly-fishing and golfing in his spare time.

Peter Flannigan, FICB - Director, Customer Solutions

Peter is an experienced career banker with over 27 years in the financial services industry. He brings a strong background and track record of success in team building, sales, service and operational excellence. Prior to joining Bridgewater Bank, Peter held numerous management roles with ATB Financial.

Peter holds a Professional Bankers designation and is a Fellow (honors) of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB). He has volunteer experience with the Canadian Cancer Society, United Way, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital. In his spare time, Peter and his family enjoy traveling, summer weekends at the lake, boating and a variety of water sports.


Ellanor Vallance-Nutik, BA, CMA - Controller

Prior to joining the Bridgewater executive management team in May 2008, Ellanor gained 10 years of financial industry experience with CIBC. Previous roles with the non-profit Theatre Junction and Fort Chicago Energy Partners LP provided Ellanor with a strong background in financial planning, reporting and budgeting. As Controller, Ellanor is responsible for the bank's financial reporting, budgeting and management of the accounting team.

Ellanor obtained a BA in history from the University of Calgary, a business diploma from Mount Royal College, a Certified Management Accountant designation and has completed the Canadian Securities Course. She enjoys gardening, cooking and photography and is an ardent supporter of Calgary's theatre community.

Judy Hammond, Director, Card Solutions

With more than 26 years experience in the financial services industry, Judy brings expertise in building high performance, customer focused teams with a specialization in the areas of clearing, electronic payments, bank note, back office administration and payment related services. Judy has extensive experience within the Credit Union system in Alberta and most recently held the role of Assistant Vice-President Payment Services with CUPS Payment Services in Calgary, where she gained strong expertise in the Payments industry.

Judy holds a Business Administration Diploma from the University of Calgary, a Business Management Certificate from the University of Athabasca and is a graduate of the Mount Royal College, Project Management program. Judy is active in her community and provides her time to numerous charities, including the United Way and Calgary Humane Society.

Jodi Cohen, CHRM - Human Resources Advisor

Jodi brings 15 years of management experience in Human Resources to the Bridgewater team.  She has held various generalist roles of increasing responsibility with a focus on training and development, employment legislation, performance management, and compensation and benefits. Prior to joining Bridgewater, Jodi successfully owned and operated her own business in the pet services industry.    

Jodi earned her Certificate of Human Resources Management from the University of Toronto in 2001, is a member of the Human Resources Association of Calgary and a CHRP candidate. Jodi is an avid animal enthusiast and volunteers with the Calgary Humane Society.
